As an AI agent development company for New York and US businesses, Foxcomm designs, builds and runs AI agents that take real work off your staff: sorting support tickets, drafting reports, chasing paperwork. The agents are built on open-source tools (n8n, Docker, Paperclip, OpenClaw and Hermes Agent), and every one ships with approval steps, spending limits and audit logs, so people stay in charge.
Foxcomm covers the whole AI agent development journey, from the first call to an agent that is monitored and in daily use, so there is a single company to deal with.
Together we pick one task that is worth automating and has clear boundaries, and agree up front what a good result looks like.
Agents are built around how your team already works, on n8n, Docker, Paperclip, OpenClaw or Hermes Agent, whichever suits the job best.
Agents are connected to your business apps and data through n8n workflows, APIs and the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Before an agent touches live systems it has least-privilege access, approval steps, spending caps and an audit trail.
Agents run in isolated Docker environments, either on your own infrastructure or in the cloud, and local models are available when data has to stay in-house.
We keep your agents running and improving as part of your wider IT, through the same help desk you already use.
A chatbot answers questions. An automation follows fixed rules. An agent pursues a goal over several steps, uses tools, and knows when to check with a person.
Handy for drafting and searching, but it only responds when asked and can’t take action inside your systems.
Dependable for predictable tasks, but it fails when inputs change and can’t make a judgment call on something new.
Plans its steps, chooses the right tool, checks its own work and escalates to a person when needed. This is the kind of system Foxcomm builds.
Each tool has a different role. Foxcomm selects, combines and secures them to fit what your business needs.

Exploren8n, Docker, Paperclip, OpenClaw and Hermes Agent are the property of their respective owners, and n8n is a trademark of its owner. Foxcomm is an independent IT services company, not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
An agent is only useful once it can reach your systems, and only trustworthy when people can see what it did. n8n offers both on a single canvas that non-developers can follow.
Build workflows visually, and switch to code for any step that needs it.
n8n lists more than 500 built-in integrations, plus any API over HTTP and MCP, so agents and coding assistants can connect.
Choose any model. Follow runs as they happen, or open an earlier run to see what the agent decided and why.
Insert approval steps and set rules for what the AI may and may not do.
Self-host it on-premises or in Docker to keep data inside your environment, or use n8n’s hosted option. The source code is on GitHub.
n8n lists SSO through SAML and LDAP, role-based access control, audit logs, log streaming to a SIEM and Git-based version control. We confirm which plan you need.
How Foxcomm helps: design the workflows, connect your systems, add approval steps and access controls, and run n8n as part of your wider IT. n8n is fair-code licensed, so we check its license terms against your intended use.
Agents that act on your systems need limits. Foxcomm uses Docker to give them a contained place to run and one file that describes the entire stack.

Modeled on the structure in Docker’s own agentic AI guide. A production build also adds secrets handling, networking and monitoring.
A single agent is a tool; several agents need management. Foxcomm sets up Paperclip to give them an org chart, goals, budgets and a human board that keeps control.
How Foxcomm helps: install Paperclip, connect your agents, configure budgets and approval rules, and monitor everything as part of your wider IT.
Most people won’t adopt yet another tool. Foxcomm sets up OpenClaw so the agent lives where your team already talks, served from one gateway on hardware you control.
Created by Nous Research, Hermes Agent runs on a server and keeps learning, remembering past work and turning it into reusable skills. Foxcomm deploys and secures it for you.
Memory the agent curates itself, with recall across sessions, so it doesn’t begin from scratch every time.
It writes skills from experience and refines them as it uses them.
Use it from the command line, or through Slack, Telegram, Discord, WhatsApp, Signal, email and more.
Scheduling is built in for recurring jobs such as reports and checks.
It can hand parts of a task to subagents and combine the results.
It supports MCP, with providers such as Nous Portal, OpenRouter, OpenAI or any compatible endpoint.
Where it runs: Hermes Agent offers six terminal backends, and we usually pick Docker for isolation.
Most Foxcomm projects use two or more of these. Here is how they differ.
| Tool | Best for | Runs on | What we set up |
|---|---|---|---|
| n8n | Visual workflows linking agents to your apps, with approvals | Self-hosted or n8n’s hosted version | Workflows, integrations, approval steps, access control |
| Docker | Containment, local models, controlled tool access | Your servers, workstations or cloud | Compose stack, sandboxes, MCP gateway and secrets |
| Paperclip | Managing several agents toward company goals | Self-hosted, local or remote | Roles, budgets, approvals, audit log |
| OpenClaw | An assistant in the chat apps your staff already use | Your own hardware | Channels, skills, model providers, hardening |
| Hermes Agent | Long-running autonomous work that gets better with use | A server, VM or serverless | Memory, skills, schedules, terminal backend |
An agent should never be a black box holding the keys to your business. Every Foxcomm build includes the same guardrails.
Accreditations apply to Foxcomm as an organization, not to the third-party tools.
Anything risky, like sending, paying or deleting, waits for a person to approve it.
Spending and usage have caps, with warnings ahead of the limit.
Agents get the access they need and nothing extra, inside contained environments.
Each action is recorded in a log, so you can always see what happened and why.
Local models are an option where data has to stay in-house.
Plenty of AI agent development companies hand over a demo and move on. Foxcomm is an IT company first, so what we build is secured, supported and properly run after launch.
We look after the systems your agents depend on, from Microsoft 365 to cloud and cyber security.
Our own security accreditations inform how we build, host and handle your data.
We recommend the best tool for each job, including n8n, Docker, Paperclip, OpenClaw and Hermes Agent, and we will say so when an agent isn’t the right answer.
Every AI agent development project we deliver includes approvals, budgets and audit logs.
Foxcomm delivers AI agent development to organizations in New York and across the US, remotely and on site.
It designs, builds, secures and runs software agents that handle multi-step work for your business, such as sorting support tickets or drafting reports. Foxcomm also wires the agents into your systems, adds approvals and spending limits, and supports them once they are live.
That depends on the task. We begin with a brief discovery to pick one well-bounded task, then build a pilot in a sandbox before anything reaches live systems. Scope, timeline and running costs are agreed before work starts.
It means building AI agents that carry out multi-step tasks inside your systems rather than just answering questions. An agent picks tools, checks its own work and asks a person when it should. We design, build, secure and run them.
No. Foxcomm chooses the right tool for each job, and these five are our main focus. In Microsoft 365 environments we also build with Microsoft Copilot Studio, which our Data and AI page covers.
Yes. Docker Model Runner can run language models locally, OpenClaw and Hermes Agent can use local or hosted models, and Paperclip is self-hosted. We choose the setup based on where your data is allowed to go.
Only with careful setup. OpenClaw’s own documentation covers its trust model, sandboxing, access control and prompt injection, since an assistant that acts for you needs firm boundaries. We run it in isolation, limit its reach and review any skill before it is installed.
With layers: least-privilege access, human approval for risky actions, budgets and limits, and an audit log of every action. Paperclip, for instance, gives each agent a monthly budget, warns at 80% and pauses it at 100%.
Discovery and pilots are quoted at a fixed scope. Running costs, such as model usage and hosting, depend on the tools and workload, so budgets are agreed with you up front. Request a quote and we will price it against your goals.
Yes. We work with organizations across the US, remotely, and visit on site where it helps.
Tell Foxcomm which task you’d like taken off your team’s plate, and an engineer will propose a safe first step for your AI agent development project.
