Why financial firms choose Foxcomm
Security and resilience that regulators expect
Financial services firms in New York face detailed cybersecurity expectations. The NYDFS Cybersecurity Regulation (23 NYCRR Part 500) applies to covered entities, the SEC has amended Regulation S-P for incident response and customer notification, and FINRA expects member firms to protect customer information.
Foxcomm helps put the technical controls behind those expectations in place, such as multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, access reviews, logging and tested backups, and keeps them running day to day. Compliance obligations remain with your firm, and we work alongside your compliance team and advisers.

Typical financial services needs
- Multi-factor authentication across systems
- Access controls and regular access reviews
- Secure email and encrypted devices
- Backup, recovery and incident response support
- Oversight of third-party and vendor risk

Questions
IT for financial services: common questions
Can you help us meet NYDFS Part 500?
We help put technical controls in place that support Part 500, such as multi-factor authentication, access management, monitoring and backup. Compliance remains the responsibility of your firm, and we work alongside your compliance team and advisers. Whether Part 500 applies to you depends on your licensing and any exemptions.
What changed in SEC Regulation S-P?
The SEC adopted amendments in May 2024 that require covered firms to have an incident response program and to notify affected customers of certain breaches within 30 days. Compliance dates were December 3, 2025 for larger entities and June 3, 2026 for smaller entities. Your compliance adviser can confirm how they apply to your firm.
Do you support small advisory firms as well as larger firms?
Yes. We support firms from small advisory practices to multi-site firms, mainly through secure remote access, with on-site help arranged when it is needed.
Is the help desk really available 24/7?
Yes. Our 24/7 help desk supports existing clients every day of the year, by phone, email and remote access.
